“It’s incredible to be showing Pamela Anderson’s iconic Baywatch swimsuit in the exhibition, especially at this pivotal point when she has reclaimed her own image, and has designed and modelled her own swimwear,” dress and design historian Amber Butchart, who co-curated Splash, said.

Anderson previously sported short bangs back in the 1990s that were thinly cut across her forehead, creating a wispy effect. She was known for wearing her face-framing fringe fluffy and feathered — all the better to draw attention to her signature smoky eye .

Anderson's iconic red swimsuit from the 1989 show is heading to the Design Museum in London as part of a major new exhibition. The actress, who became a household name playing lifeguard CJ Parker opposite David Hasselhoff, will have her famous bathing suit on display as part of the museum's "Splash! A Century of Swimming and Style" exhibit.
