The July 17 demonstration marked the fifth anniversary of the civil rights icon's death and is a follow-up to the No Kings rallies in June.

Community members across the region came out to honor the fifth anniversary of Congressman John Lewis’ death and protest Trump administration policies.

Abilene Vickers and her son drove an hour from Spring Run to take part in the protest. Vickers takes care of her younger sister, who has autism and an intellectual disability, and works part-time delivering Amish produce. She was there to protest the recent ICE raids.
