On Friday at 3:21 a.m. the NWS Wilmington NC issued an updated winter weather advisory valid from 4 p.m. until Saturday 7 a.m. The advisory is for Inland Pender as well as Robeson, Bladen and Columbus counties.

A winter weather advisory was issued by the NWS Wakefield VA on Friday at 2:27 a.m. valid from 10 p.m. until Saturday 1 p.m.

This system will start initially as snowfall Friday afternoon and evening; however, freezing rain and sleet will mix in with the snow Friday night due to warmer air in the upper levels of the atmosphere.

The National Weather Service in Raleigh has issued a winter storm warning that will go into effect starting Friday at 1 p.m. and will last until Saturday 10 a.m.

On Thursday at 10:45 p.m. the NWS Greenville-Spartanburg SC issued an updated winter storm warning valid from Friday 7 a.m. until Saturday 7 a.m. The warning is for Mecklenburg, Cabarrus and Union counties.
