People are continuing to count the cost of Storm Darragh - but one man has been told by his insurers it was not actually a storm at all. Dennis Iliffe has been refused a pay-out because wind speeds in his home town of Kidderminster did not hit 55mph.

NIE Networks says power has been restored to nearly all of its customers following Storm Darragh. It said 15 customers still require more complex repairs but that "generators have been provided to ensure they have electricity until permanent fixes are completed".

A man died and hundreds of thousands of people in Britain and Ireland have been left without power as high winds and heavy rain battered the region.
