Von Miller plans to sign with the Washington Commanders, the star pass rusher announced on social media Wednesday. It's a one-year deal for Miller, according to CBS Sports' Jonathan Jones.  Miller will play his 16th NFL season with Washington as he eyes the third Super Bowl title of his career.

Eight-time Pro Bowler Von Miller is signing with the Washington Commanders, NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport, Tom Pelissero and Mike Garafolo reported Wednesday evening.

Joe Gibbs' great teams, at various times, also signed veteran pass rushers to supplement their younger rushers. Perhaps Commanders/Redskins fans will recall such players who fit this role, such as Jumpy Geathers, Tony McGee, Bruce Smith, Coy Bacon, Jimmie Jones, Renaldo Wynn, and Jason Buck.
