Comedian and actor Whitney Cummings talked about the biggest lessons she learned over the course of the career, reported People.

According to Whitney Cummings, one role could’ve derailed the “ Espresso ” singer’s momentous rise in music. During a sit down with People, Whitney Cummings claimed Sabrina Carpenter had eyes on The Conners ‘ Harris Conner-Healy role on. But ultimately she lost out to Emma Kenney and Cummings says: “Thank God.”

But Cummings is glad that Carpenter missed out — because it means Carpenter was free to become the successful recording artist she is today. “Thank God we said no to her,” Cummings said. “Because she’d be stuck on a sitcom set and not being Sabrina Carpenter.”

Recalling her past, Cummings added, “I'm with a man that I think I need to rescue. I'm dating drug addicts. I'm not able to set boundaries. The idea is, like, to not drain yourself, you know? … Make sure you focus on your personal life enough too, when all this [professional success] happens.”
