Curiosity rover is hunting for microbial life on Mars. NASA reconnaissance orbiter snapped its first-ever image of Curiosity moving across the planet.

NASA has released images of the rover Curiosity in its slow trek across the Red Planet. The photo was taken by the High-Resolution Imaging Science Experiment camera aboard NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter. The image shows Curiosity as a dark speck at the front of a long trail of rover tracks. Courtesy of NASA
