Sri Lanka enjoyed a superb day with the bat as the hosts ended day 3 of the first test against Bangladesh in Galle, 127 runs behind the visitors. The home side made light work of claiming the last Bangladeshi wicket this morning (19) to leave them on 495 runs in their first innings.

GALLE: Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto won the toss and chose to bat in the first Test in Galle on Tuesday, the final outing for Sri Lanka stalwart Angelo Mathews. Mathews, who made his debut in 2009 on the famous pitch perched beneath the fortress in Galle, is retiring after 118 Tests.
