Milwaukee is set for a warmer week with temperatures reaching the low to mid-40s, following a cold morning. The city will see mostly sunny skies and potential rain later in the week.

Snowfall is most likely Friday afternoon and evening, according to the Milwaukee-Sullivan National Weather Service office.

A cold weather advisory is in effect across southeast Wisconsin until 11 a.m. Monday, followed by another from 9 p.m. Monday to 12 p.m. Tuesday.

MILWAUKEE - The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for all of southeast Wisconsin starting at 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14. The advisory is expected to expire at 6 p.m. Saturday. The advisory was initially supposed to end at 6 a.m., but was extended.

It’s the calm before the storm and the Milwaukee Department of Public Works is prepared for the incoming snow.

Milwaukee-Sullivan National Weather Service meteorologist Aidan Kuroski said the city could see an additional 3 to 6 inches of snow Friday afternoon into Saturday, though that forecast could change.
