Shane Lowry started off his 2025 PGA Tour season with a missed cut at the Farmers Insurance Open. The Irish golfer shot a 72 and 75 and wound up a couple of strokes from the cut line. Lowry has not won on the PGA Tour individually since 2019 and internationally since 2022 (BMW PGA Championship).

McIlroy aced the 15th hole at Spyglass Hill in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am on Thursday. The world's third-ranked player rattled the flagstick from 119 yards out with a wedge, and the ball dropped into the cup. The hole-in-one helped McIlroy shoot a 6-under 66 in the first round.
Russell Henley birdied his last two holes for an 8-under 64 and the lead at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, where Scottie Scheffler made his 2025 debut and shot a 67.
