The NFL Network also reported that Giants offensive coordinator Mike Kafka — considered a likely candidate because the Seahawks interviewed him for the head-coaching job last season and a wanted to interview him for the OC job before being blocked — would likely be blocked again by the Giants if the Seahawks request permission.
As of Thursday, the Chicago Bears have interviewed two high-profile candidates for the open head coaching position. The Bears met with former Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel on Wednesday.

The Chicago Bears are casting a wide net in their search for a new head coach. And according to ESPN, that includes a scheduled Thursday interview with 73-year-old Pete Carroll, the Super Bowl-winning ex-coach of the Seattle Seahawks.
Beginning the process of finding a replacement for Ryan Grubb, the Seahawks will turn to a pair of candidates from the NFC North division.
Carroll had a 137-69-1 record in the regular season with the Seahawks, leading them to 10 playoff victories in 14 years. He moved into an advisory role with Seattle at the end of last season.
One of the more interesting head coaching candidates in the NFL right now is Pete Carroll. Carroll was at the helm of the Seattle Seahawks from 2010 to 2023, and during the 2013 season coached them to their first Super Bowl championship.
