After Boise State secured a spot in the inaugural 12-team College Football Playoff field, the goal posts standing above the blue turf were destined for the Boise River.

The university's goal is to raise $75,000 to pay the fine and replace the goal posts. As of 5:30 p.m. ET on Oct. 7, fans have donated more than $60,000. The fundraising ends on Oct. 29.
