DHAKA (Reuters) -Thousands of protesters set fire to the home of Bangladesh's founding leader as his daughter, ousted former prime minister Sheikh Hasina, called on her supporters to stand against the interim government.

Leaders of Hasina's Awami League party were also targeted by the mob. The attack, a so-called bulldozer procession, was announced and shared on social media.

The development comes a day after Hasina's speech on Wednesday night in which she called upon the countrymen to organise a resistance against the current regime.
