A section of a street in Philadelphia is being named in honor of the late legendary R&B singer Teddy Pendergrass.

The R&B singer's first five solo albums went platinum before a car crash left him paralyzed. His widow, Joan, says a biopic and a Broadway show also are in the works to share his legacy.
