Archaeologists are piecing together vivid 1,800-year-old frescoes from “thousands upon thousands upon thousands” of plaster fragments, with no picture on the box to guide them.

The Grand Canyon Historical Society shared an image on Facebook that appears to show the sculpture has been destroyed by the Dragon Bravo Fire. The image has not been verified by Arizona’s Family.
