The council also accredits two other Tucson schools — ITT Technical Institute and Brookline College. An ITT official said the Tucson site is operating as usual and has no plans to close.

The Art Institute of Tucson is winding down operations and will close within a few years, a spokesman for its troubled parent firm said Thursday.
