The newly minted Georgia High School Football Hall of Fame held its inaugural induction ceremony Saturday night, honoring 45 of the state’s greatest athletes.
Oct. 25—ATLANTA — The Georgia High School Football Hall of Fame honored its first class of inductees Saturday, Oct. 22 with a big ceremony at the College Football Hall of Fame.
Kent Hill and Leonard Pope will be inducted into the Georgia High School Hall of Fame on Oct. 26. Both Hill and Pope are the only pair of inductees from the same school. They played 27 years apart.
The creation of the Georgia High School Football Hall of Fame last year culminated in the hall’s first class, which featured 36 players, 15 of which played collegiately at Georgia.
