With unusual trees and shrubs from Australia and Africa, the Conn Acacia Grove at UC Davis Arboretum is now in full bloom. These plants aren’t only pretty; they’re also super drought tolerant.

It’s a spectacular sight, but not a surprising one as there are about 1,000 Australian species in the Acacia genus ranging from very small shrubs to tall, longed-lived trees.
