The cost of commuting on several Bay Area transit agencies, along with driving on the Golden Gate Bridge, has gone up on Tuesday as a series of fare and toll increases take effect.

On Tuesday, the Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation District will raise the toll for the legendary San Francisco Bay crossing by 50 cents.

Commuting to and through San Francisco will cost more starting Tuesday as SF Muni increases fares and the Golden Gate Bridge raises tolls. Clipper card holders or Muni mobile users will pay 10 cents more,
