South Dakota School of Mines & Technology unveiled its new nickname Monday morning — South Dakota Mines — along with a new logo and brand.

Originally founded in 1885 as a mining school, South Dakota School of Mines and Technology is the state’s modern leader in STEM education. More than three-quarters of students are engineers.
