US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent told Fox Business on Tuesday that he plans to meet his Chinese counterpart next week and discuss an extension of an August 12 deadline for higher tariffs.

In an interview with NBC News published late Thursday, Trump also floated 15% to 20% blanket tariffs on most trading partners, higher than the 10% level currently in effect.
