LAS VEGAS — George Russell may have won the Las Vegas Grand Prix, with Lewis Hamilton beside him on the podium for a Mercedes 1-2 finish. But all eyes were on Max Verstappen. For the fourth time in as many seasons, the Dutchman was crowned Formula One world champion.

Formula 1 arrived in Las Vegas for one of its biggest races of the 2024 season, and it lived up to the hype. George Russell and Charles Leclerc had an amazing start, but it came down to the Mercedes teammates.

Max Verstappen finished in fifth place at the Las Vegas Grand Prix and it was enough to capture the fourth consecutive F1 world championship of his career.
