Dozens of people gathered Saturday night at the Coming King Sculpture Prayer Garden in Kerrville, where the sounds of music and spoken prayer filled the air. Faith leaders and residents came together to honor the lives lost and support those still reeling from the flood’s destruction.
COMAL COUNTY, Texas – A Comal County bar held a country music benefit Saturday for those affected by the Hill Country floods. Aside from the concert, Bracken Creekside Saloon also hosted a silent auction and raffle. The saloon owners told KSAT that the fundraiser was a community effort.
The final missing Camp Mystic counselor, Katherine Ferruzzo, was found deceased after a devastating July Fourth flood in Texas.

The idea came from a Kerrville family who wanted to find a way to give back. Quickly, the word spread and dozens are helping out.

Betty Matteson’s four children, nine grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren have squeezed into her Texas Hill Country home countless times since 1968.
