A fatal Tesla Cybertruck incident in Piedmont is being investigated by the National Highway and Traffic Safety Administration and California Highway Patrol after three Piedmont high school graduates died and another was hospitalized.

A solo vehicle crash involving a Tesla Cybertruck left three young people dead early Wednesday morning in the Northern California city of Piedmont, authorities said.

Hundreds in the City of Piedmont attended a vigil on Friday for three recent high school graduates who died after the Tesla Cybertruck they were in crashed into a tree. KTVU has learned the identities of the victims.

Three young individuals – since identified as Soren Dixon, Jack Nelson, and Krysta Tsukahara by the City of Piedmont – were pronounced dead at the scene. The person pulled from the Cybertruck suffered burns and was taken to an area hospital in critical condition but has not been identified. Their current condition is unknown.

Jack Nelson, Soren Dixon and Krysta Tsukahara, all 19, were killed in a fiery Tesla Cybertruck crash Wednesday, while a fourth friend, Jordan Miller, 20, survived but was seriously burned.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has confirmed it’s looking into a recent fatal crash involving a Tesla Cybertruck that killed three teenagers in California late last month.
