Tomorrowland’s centerpiece went up in smoke Wednesday, with explosions and thick plumes of fire captured on video.

Tomorrowland, in the Belgium town of Boom, is considered the world’s largest electronic dance music festival. The stage was “severely damaged” by the fire, organizers said.

A day before Tomorrowland was set to kick off on Thursday, videos of the fest’s main stage engulfed by flames began circulating online. The festival’s official website and Instagram released an official statement confirming the “serious incident and fire,” adding that the event’s “beloved Mainstage has been severely damaged.”
