Officials at Alaska’s famed Denali National Park are in hot water after allegedly telling construction crews at the park not to fly the American flag.

Flyers showing a Confederate flag and stalks of cotton were found in several locations at American University on Tuesday, and school officials say the campus will not be intimidated.

The American Legion had held 9/11 memorial ceremonies annually since the attacks. Local officials, first responders and members of the community have participated.
