Zach Mitchell’s first book was titled, “Broken Worship.” His poetry then spawned a podcast of the same name. But that’s only part of Zach’s story.
A broken poem begins it. The poem is “Christabel.” It is two fragments of gothic lesbian vampire fantasy printed in every proper textbook of English literature.
I used poetry to understand so much, including love and broken hearts, and to come to terms with my illness, which began in my mid-teens. These were poems of teenage heartbreak in all its many guises.
