One of Germany's most beloved tourist attractions is crumbling. The Berlin Wall has been battered by age, the elements, souvenir-hunting tourists and commercial development.
Organizers have set aside $1.36 million for the art restoration and $1.6 million to fix the wall itself. In total, 821 wall segments and 105 artworks will be restored.
In the meantime, TxDOT crews placed concrete barriers at the foot of the wall to prevent it from moving anymore.
