Airlines are continuing to whittle down schedules early this week as the FAA-mandated flight reductions ramp up even higher.

The FAA ordered airlines to cut thousands of flights ahead of this weekend as the agency deals with air traffic controller shortages during the government shutdown.

As of 10 p.m. ET on Sunday, more than 10,000 flights within, into, or out of the United States had been delayed, according to FlightAware.
