LEXINGTON, Ky. – Behind a record-setting barrage from 3-point range, the Highlands High School boys basketball team dominated this week’s KHSAA Sweet 16 and captured its first state championship.

ZaKiyah Johnson and Tootie Jordan helped power No. 1 Sacred Heart to its fifth consecutive state title, defeating George Rogers Clark in the Sweet 16 final.

Mercy defeated Whitefield Academy and will face Cooper, the Ninth Region champion, in the first round of the Sweet 16 on Thursday at Rupp Arena.
