The Microsoft-branded theater in downtown Los Angeles will be no more: The L.A. Live venue owned by AEG will be renamed the Peacock Theater.

Microsoft Theater at L.A. Live in downtown Los Angeles has a new name.. AEG announced on Thursday, June 15 that the 7,100-seat concert and special events venue will now be known as Peacock Theater.

AEG officials announced that LA Live, the entertainment center in downtown Los Angeles, which includes the Microsoft Theater and Xbox Plaza, will bear the Peacock name starting on July 11.
