Uptown Houston announced the 350-foot suspension bridge will span Buffalo Bayou, linking an Uptown trail to Memorial Park's western edge.

The repairs include the replacement of the bridge’s parapet walls, concrete repairs, new handrails and fresh paint.

Stephen Barrett, who is credited with saving 86 lives, is honored with a sign at Michigan Avenue Bridge in Buffalo.
