A new adventure is about to unfold. 5; Axecon; Sat 22nd Oct 2022; Paper Mario & TTYD are some of the biggest holes in my retro backlog (& Super Paper Mario too but I'm not as eager to play that one).

The Mario franchise has evolved aesthetically from pixel art to wacky, hand-drawn, claymation-esque styles over 35+ years.; New Super Mario Bros., Mario & Luigi, and Yoshi's Island showcase ...

This game looks really great (although I liked the HD-2D pixel art style better, but it still looks great) but comparing it to Paper Mario is doing it a disservice since it's not an RPG.
