Tennessee football coach Josh Heupel has announced three assistant coach hires ahead of the 2025 season. Levorn “Chop” Harbin has promoted from an analyst role to outside linebackers coach. Evan Crabtree was tapped to fulfill the special teams coordinator role after also serving as an analyst.

Tennessee football is promoting Evan Crabtree and Levorn Harbin, while also bringing in John Bonamego to round out the staff.

Tennessee has also extended defensive backs coach Willie Martinez and head strength coach Kurt Schmidt -- creatively titled "director of competition development" -- after their respective deals expired on Jan. 31, according to documents obtained by the Knoxville News-Sentinel.

Both Harbin and Crabtree have served on Heupel’s Tennessee staff as analysts.
