City officials are investigating a treacherous stretch of Woodhaven Blvd. that saw nearly 400 major car crashes between 2004 and 2006 and continues to create chaos for bicyclists and pedestrians.

The crash took place at around 2:24 p.m. at 63rd Avenue near Woodhaven Boulevard in Rego Park. The bus was removed on Monday night, but a gaping hole remained.

For a little while now, the Department of Transportation has considered installing Select Bus Service along Woodhaven Boulevard, an initiative to reduce travel time by creating dedicated bus lanes.
