The San Francisco 49ers are bringing in kicker competition for Jake Moody. Moody, the 25-year old who the 49ers took in the third round in 2023, struggled to a 70 percent field goal make rate last fall.

The 49ers are expected to sign kicker Greg Joseph to compete with Jake Moody in training camp, according to Joseph’s agent, Brett Tessler. The team has not announced any deal.

The 49ers are signing veteran kicker Greg Joseph to a one-year contract, agent Brett Tessler told NBC Sports Bay Area on Friday. Joseph, 30, is a six-year NFL veteran who has appeared in 75 games and has made 116 of 141 field-goal attempts in his career for 82.3-percent accuracy rate.
