Milwaukee police arrested a 25-year-old man after a 7-year-old was taken at gunpoint Friday night.

MILWUAKEE — Milwaukee police are investigating a quintuple shooting that occurred just after midnight Saturday, leaving two people dead and three others injured. The shooting took place near the intersection of Water and Michigan streets, in a popular nightlife entertainment district.

Police have issued an Amber Alert for 7-year-old Jamal White, who they said was abducted at gunpoint outside his Milwaukee home1.

"He's home, he's safe and whatever happened, we're glad that he's here and he's alive. Because it's very rare that you get an outcome like this."

The Milwaukee Police Department said Jamal White was last seen on July 11 around 7 p.m. near 61st and Hustis streets in a white Jeep Renegade after being taken at gunpoint.
