Two families in San Diego’s Southcrest neighborhood say they were targeted by someone throwing homemade firebombs.

Police are asking that the public help identify people seen on video throwing bottles at a home, causing explosions.

The suspect first threw a Molotov cocktail at the home shortly after midnight, which failed to ignite and went unreported, police said. When the suspect returned around 2 a.m. and threw a second Molotov cocktail, the resident, who is a legal gun owner, fired several shots at the suspect and called police. The suspect was not hit, police said.

For the first time, Molotov cocktails were thrown at security forces during protests in Georgia, report Georgian media outlets. Gas and water cannons are being used against the demonstrators, and special forces are waiting for the order to disperse them again.
