About 90% of the traveling Texans will do so by car, and with more cars on the road, AAA Texas Spokesperson Daniel Armbruster said to expect traffic and get your car checked by a mechanic before starting your trip.

AAA says a record number of travelers are expected to drive 50 miles or more. DPS troopers will be on the lookout for speeding and other traffic violations.
