The Cincinnati Bengals made a quiet addition to the roster in free agency just before training camp starts. According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, the Bengals signed quarterback Desmond Ridder.

CINCINNATI — Former Bearcats star quarterback Desmond Ridder is coming home. Ridder has agreed to a one-year contract with the Bengals according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network. Ridder, a former third round pick, has started 18 career games. He gives the Bengals an experienced backup behind Joe Burrow and Jake Browning.

The Seattle Seahawks have released tight end Noah Fant, per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. Fant spent three seasons with the Seahawks. The former Iowa standout was traded from the Denver Broncos to Seattle in March 2022,
