Hackers broke into the X account of Sesame Street character Elmo and posted antisemitic and racist messages, the makers of the children's TV show said on Monday.

Elmo, the Muppet character on the show Sesame Street, was trending on the internet on July 13 for posting controversial statements on X (formerly Twitter).
