Dec 13, 2014 · I read retreiver/lab mix not as 1 parent retreiver and 1 parent lab, but as the known parent being a labrador (either pure or possibly with some other retriever mixed in, like a yellow lab x golden retriever mix) and the dad unknown. May 14, 2014 · She is a twin for my dog, Sandy! Sandy is half White German Shepherd and half Goldendoodle and weighs 85 lbs. I've had several people ask if she was an Irish Wolfhound, so I guess I can sort of see the similarity. My dad has a labradoodle who looks exactly like our dogs, except black. Doodle-mixes can definitely have that wavy, wiry haired look.

Mar 19, 2015 · Remember, there is a specific 'mask' gene that causes the black mask you see on everything from German Shepherds to Mastiffs to Black Mouth Curs. Also, tawny yellow is a very common dog color, and seems to pop up a lot in multigenerational mutt mixes.

Jul 17, 2024 · Pretty dog! I think the guess of a mix of lab and possibly German shepherd and/or husky sounds about right. That's what I'd guess just from the photos. If you want to know for sure, you can always do a DNA test.....Embark is the most accurate one from what I have heard, and that's the one I have used for my dogs.
