“Failure Isn’t the End: The Power of Forgiveness” After Jesus was arrested, Peter denied knowing Him three times, just as Jesus had predicted (Luke 22:54–62). When Peter realized what he had done, he felt deep sorrow and wept bitterly. His heart was broken with guilt and regret. Later, after Jesus’ resurrection, He appeared to Peter by the Sea of Galilee (John 21:15–19). There, Jesus lovingly restored him by asking three times, “Do you love Me?” — one for each denial.
